Bring frozen doors and locks back to life
Melting your way through a frozen door lock with a lighter is not exactly the best way to care for your paint and metalwork. A door lock de-icer will fit into any jacket or trouser pocket. Use it for swift help with unlocking your doors.
A stick of glycerin or tallow can work wonders on door seals. Simply rub it in beforehand - and even at minus temperatures it won't jam as you try to get into your car.
Another tip for washing your windscreen on freezing cold days: Stick a piece of tape over the door lock to stop water from getting inside and freezing. |
