Field-proven Duraterm technology from Bosch.

Glow plug control filaments ensure regulation of current and temperature in the heating zone. The Duraterm Chromium's control filament is made from a Bosch-patented special cobalt-iron alloy whose electrical resistance increases dramatically as the temperature rises. This reduces current consumption; the steady-state temperature on afterglow is automatically limited.

Short-circuit-proof design.

The thin wire of the control filament has a stable fit and withstands all vibrations. Coil-winding short-circuits and even a short-circuit with the glow tube are therefore prevented.

Built-in afterglow capability.

Duraterm Chromium glow plugs minimize noise production and pollutants produced by the engine thanks to the correct afterglow temperature.
